Ceramic is so sustainable, *ﾟ it can last forever once it’s fired, but can be reclaimed a million times before it’s fired.
In design there is often a pressure to perfect things, but in practicing ceramics, that pressure tends to go away. Anything in the ceramics world has so many points of failure, granting me a lot of forgiveness with my work and the ability to become flexible. The two forms of art influence each other in the conceptualization of designing functional or decorative ceramic objects with graphic design principles in mind. Ceramics offer a unique 3D medium for applying graphic design elements, while graphic design principles can enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of ceramic creations.
